A three day performance/ art installation in Esprit Park, San Francisco, CA,Oct 19-21, 2007. presented as part of the citywide, COCA, Center for Outdoor Contemporary Art in community partnership with Neighborhood Parks Council, San Francisco, Curated by Elliot Lessing. The Twilight Kingdom combined my Trashsures series (sculptural lost objects, designed to be discovered by chance) with my ongoing interest in metaphysics, esoteric images, folklore, and mythology. I made daily appearaces as the wizardly and enigmatic "Old Man", modeled after Emperor Norton, who surveys the park -- offering visitors formal citizenship notes of this fantastic kingdom! I realized after seeing the large homeless population in the city that my project had more to do with reality than I had planned.
Special Thanks to the Chris, Elizabeth, and Oscar Wisnia, Maria Carlson, Scott, Judy, and Kirby Shaw!
